The Missouri Trappers Association (MTA) is made up of dedicated men and women and their families who, together, promote the stewardship of wild animals through modern wildlife management, including regulated trapping.

The MTA actively promotes using the safest, most humane and efficient traps through trapper education.

Each year the MTA sponsors raw fur auctions for its members and holds rendezvous similar to those of the mountain men of the past.

The MTA sponsors a number of events each year to improve leadership and communications skills among it's members, and frequently attends outdoor shows and schools to teach others about responsible conservation and wildlife management.

The MTA is also an active member of the Conservation Federation of Missouri, a group of individuals and organizations committed to conserving the state's wild animals and places.
