Fur Harvest Summary - Missouri Trappers Association

Missouri fur harvest, resident permit sales, and average price summary as reported by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Fur harvest numbers were compiled from fur buyer and dealer transaction records. Bobcat and otter information was compiled from mandatory pelt registration records.

Average fur values were determined from monitoring fur auctions and interviews with fur buyers and dealers. The 2005-06 and 2006-07 prices were calculated from the MTA Fur Auctions only and probably reflect a higher average value.
